ISEO SUMMER SCHOOL 2006
June 23rd - July 1st
The summer school aims at bringing together 50 graduate students coming from the most important world university to improve their knowledge in economics. Classes will be held by Nobel Laureates for economic sciences and notable American and European instructors.
The I.S.E.O. Summer School course introduces to some of the principles of international economy, investigating the role of America and Europe in the international economic scenario. It focuses on growth, on the strategies and instruments of monetary policy, on the structure and mechanisms of the financial sector, with a particular focus on the welfare state and unemployment. The course has a comparative perspective, therefore every subject compares the US and European economies. Every lesson includes theoretical lectures and a debate on the topics discussed during the lessons.
The course shall take place at Iseo, near the Iseo Lake, in northern Italy. Participants shall be hosted in a prestigious 4 star Hotel located on the lakeside, in a wide tourist and sports resort, featuring a green park, beach volley, swimming pools, a center for sailing, canoeing and windsurf. The official language is English. At the end of the course the students shall receive a frequency certificate Application deadline 1st May 2006.
