AGAIN SUCCESS FOR THE 2ND EDITION OF THE COLLOQUIA
 
The Hofburg has been the wonderful location where the second edition of The European Colloquia organized by I.S.E.O together with Pioneer Investment took place on the 29th of November.
 
The meeting had a full house as in first edition: the main reason might be again the high quality of the panel of the speakers: three Nobel Laureates for economics, beyond some of the most international outstanding economists.
 
Robert Engle (Nobel Laureate 2003), Joseph Stiglitz (Nobel Laureate 2001) and Vernon Smith (Nobel Laureate 2002) opened a very stimulating discussion on their different point of views regarding both international finance and political and economical actual themes. The conference was attended also by David Laibson (Harvard University), Stephen Zeldes (Columbia University), Marco Onado (Università Bocconi) , Dario Frigerio (CEO Investment), Peter Zöllner (Austrain Central Bank) , Luigi Spaventa (Università di Roma). Riccardo Venchiarutti, the vice chairman of the ISEO Institute opened the meeting.
 
The high quality of the speakers has been appreciated by the whole of the audience who consisted in 500 people, most of them entrepreneurs, bankers, professors and students of economics coming from several eastern Europe universities. Some of the attendants came even at the first European Colloquia in Prague on the 30th November 2006: also for that occasion I.S.E.O brought to the Czech Capital 3 Nobel Laureates in Economics, (Stiglitz, Prescott and Heckman), brilliant international economists and the President of the Czech republic Vaclav Klaus.
